Hinchinbrook Island is located in North Queensland, North-East of Ingham about 22.2 miles. To get to the island, a flight to either Townsville and travel North by bus or car to Port Hinchinbrook. Otherwise a flight to Cairns and travel South by car or bus. From the Port H. Then it is short boat ride to Hinchinbrook.

Hinchinbrook island is an outstanding tropical National park (Australia's largest national park island) The island is made up of 'Palaeozoic igneous' rocks. Nothing but one resort, the rest is all national park.
